This two-day course is designed for shooters who already have foundational pistol-handling skills (holster draws, basic marksmanship, and safe firearm handling) and are looking to sharpen their techniques and increase efficiency under pressure.

Building on core fundamentals, we will dive deeper into advanced malfunction clearances, shooting on the move, alternate positions, target transitions, and use of cover. The course builds on the established basics with dynamic live-fire drills to challenge participants in a structured, safe environment.

Course Objectives

By the end of this two-day advanced course, participants will gain skills and knowledge to:

  • Reinforce fundamental safety principles for handling a pistol in high-tempo environments
  • Refine their holster draw technique for speed and accuracy
  • Engage single and multiple targets from the holster at varying distances with increased precision
  • Diagnose and clear common and complex malfunctions under stress
  • Shoot while moving and effectively transition between targets
  • Apply advanced drills that improve pistol handling, marksmanship, and situational awareness under pressure

 

Prerequisites:

  •  Introduction to Pistol (or equivalent class)
  •  Proficient in safe pistol handling
  •  Proficient with holster draws
  •  Ability to operate a semi-automatic handgun safely
  •  Solid understanding of range safety and etiquette

 

Student Equipment Requirements:

  • Semi-automatic handgun (9mm or similar caliber recommended)
  •  Minimum of 800 rounds of factory ammunition (can be purchased on site, subject to availability)
  • Strong-side tactical holster (outside-the-waistband)
  • Magazines (3 minimum, 5 recommended)
  • Magazine pouches
  • Electronic hearing protection
  • Eye protection
  • Weather-appropriate clothing (hat, sunscreen, gloves, etc.)
  • Notebook and pen (for notes)

 

$1,150 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). Includes lunch for both days and a Nalgene water bottle. Must be 21 or over to attend. Please note this is a two day course.

Overnight accommodation is available (subject to availability) for an additional fee; please call or email us if required.

Dress code: no t-shirts, blue jeans or open-toed shoes please.

Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
