This advanced, hands-on course is designed for experienced shooters who want to enhance their long-range precision shooting skills. The course covers advanced ballistics, wind reading, bullet flight stages, holdovers, shot corrections, and spotting techniques. Participants will learn how to account for the effects of environmental factors such as wind, the Coriolis effect, and aerodynamic jump. Additionally, students will practice shooting from alternate positions and perfect the art of using cold bore shots and adjusting for it.
Course Objectives
Participants will gain skills and knowledge to:
• Understand stages of bullet flight and how to account for them in precision shooting
• Learn to measure and true muzzle velocity as well as adjusting for drop at extended ranges
• Master the use of holdovers and shot corrections
• Spot bullet trace and adjust shots based on visual feedback
• Accurately calculate wind drift and make corrections for environmental factors
• Learn to shoot from alternate positions and adapt to different shooting scenarios
• Adjust for cold bore and understand its impact on accuracy at the start of a shooting session
$625 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). Includes data book, Nalgene water bottle, G&H barrel flag, box lunch, and certificate of completion.
Dress code: no blue jeans, t-shirts or open-toed shoes please.
Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
