This is a Bacon MFG Co. 2nd model pocket revolver. It was manufactured some time around the American Civil War giving this pistol a very long life. Often a favorite secondary sidearm for Union Officers, this pistol is very well made with the same 4 click sear as colt revolvers. This particular pistol appears to have been at the mid point of refinishing when we acquired it and as such, some parts are in the white with others re-blued. With approximately 3000 of this model made, this one is marked 275 inside the trigger guard, making it a fairly early production if the guard is original. There is a rattle coming from the trigger mechanism, indicating that a spring is broken, causing the pistol to not time correctly when held in certain orientations.
