The Colt model 1851 “Navy” was a far lighter option when compared to the then contemporary Dragoon model revolvers, making it an attractive sidearm. The “London” model of the 1851 navy refers to the roughly 42,000 pistols produced by Colt’s London armory. This example is in exceptional condition for its age, still bearing much of its original bluing, color case hardening and silver plating on the grip frame. The action likewise is in fantastic condition with good timing and positive clicks to the sears.
