Title: Intermediate Scroll Design and Inlay with Chris Rossiter

Monday August 10th – Friday August 14th

Master the art of inlay and scroll design on standard 1911 grips!

This course focuses primarily on the fundamentals of inlaying precious metals with scroll design and shading. With instructor guidance, you will learn how to break down the process of making perfect inlays into 1911 grips. This course will also help break down complex scroll designs into more manageable, easy-to-understand parts. You will also learn about common inlay and scroll design mistakes and how to avoid them. Once the foundation is set, you will be encouraged to develop your own scroll designs to use on the 1911 grips.

This class will include a set of 1911 grips, fine silver wire for inlays and a transferable pattern for anyone looking to just enhance their cutting on a slightly curved surface.
