Title: Introduction to Shotgun Ballistics

Thursday June 5th, 1pm – 5pm Please note: this class is aimed at intermediate to advanced students wanting to learn more about how to tune a shotgun appropriately for different disciplines. Starting in the classroom, head shotgun instructor Kevin Sterk will teach you how to tune your gun with the proper loads and chokes for different shotgun disciplines and their respective different target presentations; from trap and sporting clays to box bird shoots and shooting in the rough. We’ll also cover how to evaluate load choke percentages before moving to the patterning board on our sporting clay course. From here we’ll show you how to interpret and read patterning, and learn how to make adjustments for load development, barrel regulation, point of impact and more. Open to shooters of all disciplines; trap, skeet, sporting clays, box bird shoots, hunting, shooting in the rough, walk ups and more. Class will be tailored to the chosen disciplines of attendees. Itinerary 1pm: Registration and classroom session 2pm: Instruction on sporting clay course 4pm: Return to academy for Q&A over drinks and hors d’oeuvres Requirements

$425 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). All cartridges, clays, drinks and appetizers are included.

Dress code: no t-shirts, blue jeans or open-toed shoes please.

Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
