Title: Introduction to Tournament Shooting

Tuesday May 20th, 1pm – 5pm

Please note: this class is aimed at those with priorย shootingย experience who are looking to startย shootingย in charity, club or NSCAย tournaments.

Are you interested in signing up for your firstย tournamentย but not sure where to start?

Join our head shotgun instructor Kevin Sterk for a masterclass on what to expect at your firstย tournament, how to becomeย tournamentย ready, and how to conquer your mind to work in harmony with your body.

Starting in the classroom, weโ€™ll review the basics of howย tournaments are structured and what you should bring with you; weโ€™ll also demonstrate examples of properย shootingย eyewear andย shootingย bags. Weโ€™ll also cover an introduction to the โ€˜mental gameโ€™ of competitions, how to pace yourself and manage your resources, how to maintain focus for the duration of theย tournament, and review chokes and loads for different target presentations.

Moving to the sporting clay range, weโ€™ll ensure youโ€™re securing a proper mount, teach you how to learn proper draw length by reading the character of a target, and explain how to build a set of practice routines to prepare for different target presentations.
