The Stevens tip up has been I production in one form or another from 1864 till 1939. Available in rifle, pistol and shotgun configurations, as well as a multitude of chamberings, it was quite popular. This example is one of the larger frame pistol variants, specifically made for offhand target shooting and chambered in .22 LR. Overall condition is very good, with light to mild wear. The bore is somewhat worn, with rounded corners to the rifling.
