This advanced course is designed for precision shooters who wish to harness the full potential of the Kestrel 5700 Elite to enhance their ballistics, wind reading, and environmental adjustments. The Kestrel 5700 Elite is an essential tool for any long-range shooter, capable of integrating weather data, ballistics calculations, and wind corrections directly into your shooting solutions.
The course will cover advanced Kestrel settings, creating custom profiles, interpreting environmental data, and fine-tuning ballistic calculators. Students will learn how to accurately input data, interpret weather conditions, and use the device’s advanced features to make precise shot corrections, improve first-round hits, and maximize shooting efficiency at extended ranges. (This course is classroom only. No live fire)
Course Objectives
Participants will gain skills and knowledge to:
• Understand how to accurately input and adjust ballistic data into the Kestrel 5700 Elite
• Learn how to measure and adjust for muzzle velocity in real-time
• Use advanced Kestrel settings
• Understand the effects external ballistics on long-range shots, and how to incorporate these into your shooting
• Improve shot accuracy through proper application of the Kestrel 5700 Elite’s features and integrate it seamlessly into long-range shooting practice
Prerequisites
- Understanding of Precision Rifle Fundamentals (marksmanship, zeroing, scope adjustments)
- Intro to Precision Rifle Course or similar (contact G&H with questions)
Student Equipment Requirements:
- Kestrel 5700 Elite (available for puchase in our Showroom)
- Note-taking gear
$350 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). Includes data book, G&H barrel flag and certificate of completion.
Dress code: no blue jeans, t-shirts or open-toed shoes please.
Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
