This .22-250 Mauser rifle likely started its life as one of many mod.98 rifles made for the German army before WW2 based upon the markings. In its new life as a varmint rifle, it has seen very little use and the overall wear reflects this. The only blemish of note is a patch in the stock and some plugged holes in the receiver where a side scope mount once sat. The replacement low profile safety appears to have difficulty functioning.
