This rifle appears to be a very scarce post war Mauser Model KKW sporting model, this is drawn from the fact that it bears no military style components aside from the sights which were removed and the receiver has the dovetail rail that is very rarely seen. The proof marks on this rifle are from the Suhl proof house as of April 1959. As previously stated the military style iron sights have been permanently removed, leaving the heavy target barrel bare and the perfect host for optics mounts. Drilled into the barrel are 4 screw holes where some sorts of mounts appear to have been mounted previously. Overall mechanical condition is good with no major faults, and the barrel is shiny over 99% of its length, but with some small scattered spots where corrosion might have once been.
