The Ried “My Friend” Knuckle Duster was, at the time, an innovative design, incorporating a 7 shot .22 caliber revolver with the bludgeoning features of a knuckle duster. The sentiment of Mr. Ried behind these design features was “Never shoot a man if you can knock him down”. The overall condition of this example is fair to good, looking to have possibly been replated at some point in the past, as the plating looks somewhat too thick to be the original silver plating. The mechanics also appear to have been worn down by time, as it doesn’t quite cycle properly.
