The Savage model 95 and subsequent model 99 were the first hammerless lever action rifles and the addition of the rotary magazine allowed them to use the new spitzer design bullets. This example shows some external wear and old signs of corrosion amongst the worn finish. The stocks likewise have some wear and a crack is present at the upper tang. The bore however still shows good sharp rifling meaning that it will continue to be a good shooter. This is added to by the addition of the Bushnell scope and Redfield peep sight.
