This 16 Gauge box lock, made by Simson & Co. in Suhl is in good overall condition, with moderate finish loss on the barrels from being carried in the field and only the remnant of case hardening colors on the extensively engraved receiver. The barrels are just a hair over 28 inches and made from nitro proofed Krupp fluid steel, with 2 ¾ chambers and choked LM/IM, the bores have some scratches but are otherwise good. The stocks are free of major scratches or dings and the buttstock is a replacement stock, made from beautifully figured walnut.
