This Trapdoor Springfield appears to have all parts present and a decent bore with strong rifling and only mild corrosion. The only part found to be non functional is the firing pin, which has been damaged and is stuck forward, making the gun inoperable until it has been extracted and replaced. Overall external condition is quite good, with wear consistent with its age, consistent brown patina and stock cartouches that are still crisp. This rifle is a good item to bring into a collection as a non functional item or a good candidate for refurbishment.
