The Stevens High Power 425 is a high quality lever action rifle which competed with Winchester and marlin from 1911 to 1917. With only around 5000 made before the company was bought by savage and the model discontinued, most people have never heard of the model and less have seen it. The overall condition of this rifle is good, with only moderate wear and finish loss off of its nickel steel parts. The stocks are free of cracks and show moderate wear, consistent with its age. Of note, there appears to be wood filler in several scratches around the wrist of the butstock. The bore is somewhat dark, but with strong rifling.
