This Winchester Model 1912, manufactured in 1915, which was the second year of production for the 16 Gauge, is in very good overall condition for its age. The barrel and action show moderate wear and slight discoloration to the finish in some places, it is hard to tell if this is from use or if it is touch up bluing. On top of the barrel there is a few light spots of pitting. The chambering of 2 9/16″ is not a typo, that is the original chamber for early 16 Ga Model 1912’s. the stocks are in nearly perfect condition and being an early model, the buttstock is quite short compared to more modern guns.
