The Winchester Model 21 is perhaps one of the finest side by side shotguns ever designed. This example is of a particularly rare “Trap/Skeet” model, which features very high grade stocks, an non engraved, blued receiver and 26 inch skeet barrels. Overall condition is very good, with only a few areas of mild surface corrosion on the barrels and very little wear on the stocks. The bores appear to be in good condition however there is evidence of mild corrosion in the chambers which has left them slightly textured. It is if note, that as this firearm was manufactured in 1940, this may be a transitional model, and as such the floorplate of the action appears to be restamped from “Tournament Skeet” to “Trap Skeet”.
