The Winchester 88, with its fast operating lever action and modern hard hitting cartridges, fed from a box magazine, was built to be the nearly perfect deer drive rifle. This example of a Model 88 Carbine, manufactured in1968 is in excellent overall condition, with practically no wear. The only blemishes are some wear on the magazine, a small bruise or two to the stock and some unevenness to the bluing where oil was unevenly applied many years ago.
