The Tri State Youth Safety and Shooting Education Foundation is offering four-week shotgun programs to grades 5 – 12, and has partnered with Griffin & Howe Shotgun Academy and the Hudson Farm Foundation to host the programs at their sporting clay facility at Hudson Farm. These classes are aimed at improving skills and educational performance among students in grades 5 – 12.
Must have prior shotgun experience. This program will reiterate thorough safety and handling rules and the four conditions of readiness, improve on proper gun mount technique, shooting form, and shooting fundamentals, before moving on to introduce the angles of basic incoming and apexing target presentations, quartering shots, and the concept of lead through the ‘pass-through’ and ‘pull away’ techniques.
The course will be held on the following four Fridays from 10.30am - 12pm:
Week 1: July 12th
Week 2: July 19th
Week 3: July 26th
Week 4: August 2nd
The price for the four week course is $525 per student, which includes all rental firearms, ammunition and targets.
