The history of Griffin & Howe’s gunsmithing services goes back to before the business was even officially formed in 1923. Between Seymour Griffin’s stockmaking talents and James Howe’s metalsmithing and machinery skills, Griffin & Howe was born from a legacy of stunning firearms craftsmanship.

Griffin & Howe can perform a wide range of gunsmithing services and repair for gun owners at our convenient NJ location.
We service all models and makes of shotguns, rifles and handguns. You are welcome to visit our store in person with your firearms, or you can also ship them to us.

Rifle Scope Mounts
- Rifle optic mounting and sighting services

- Custom rifle stocks
- Installation of G&H Top Mount for sporting rifles and military conversions
- Installation of G&H Side Mount, allowing the use of both open sights as well as telescopic optic on the same firearm
- Installation of M1C Garand Mount – We are for the first time reproducing a faithful reproduction of the original G&H M1C top half and rings. For the clients wishing to convert their current Garand to an M1C configuration we can accomplish this in-house for the client

The Griffin & Howe Highlander Rifle
- A lightweight precision long-randge hunting rifle, approximately 6lbs. 7oz. short action or 6lbs. 10oz. long action
- 1/2 MOA accuracy with match grade ammunition
- Includes lightweight high-strength aluminum rings, Negrini case, carbon fiber bipod and adaptor
- Great effort is put forth to ensure every Highlanger that leaves our shop feeds and functions flawlessly as well as meets our hight standard of accuracy
