About Crane Safaris
Crane Safaris is a family-run business, offering big game hunting safaris in the Save Valley Conservancy, Zimbabwe. The Save Valley Conservancy consists of 750,000 acres of diverse wildlife habitat, with no internal fences to allow the wildlife to roam freely.
The Crane Safaris team comprises Mark Jansen, his partner Rachel and his sister Natalie – born and bred Zimbabweans who all grew up loving and respecting the Zimbabwean Bush.
Mark is a qualified professional hunter, who splits his time between Zimbabwe and New Jersey. Rachel assists in logistics and marketing, and Natalie handles bookings, hunting contracts, logistics, permits and co-ordinating DIP and packing of trophies.
The team have a passion for big game hunting and strive to meet your expectation of a truly authentic hunt. Their goal is to encourage every guest to appreciate Zimbabwe and her wildlife as they do.
About The Save Valley Conservancy
The Save Valley Conservancy is one of the largest private game reserves in Africa, located in the South Eastern Lowveld of Zimbabwe and bordering the Save River on its eastern side. Their primary focus is animal and land conservation to maintain healthy wildlife populations.
The hunting season falls in the dry season, from May to October. Hunting is strictly regulated to manage animal populations of southern African game species such as black rhino and white rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo and more.
About the Hunting Area
There are plenty of hunting opportunities across this varied natural landscape. Each hunt is conducted on a fair chase basis and customized according to the client. Depending on whether you want to hunt dangerous game or plains game species, the Crane team will make sure you have the best opportunity and experience.
Pre or post holidays can also be arranged to other Zimbabwe destinations such as Kariba Dam, Victoria Falls, Great Zimbabwe in Masvingo, or even as far as Mozambique’s deserted beaches.
