This Fine Purdey 12 Gauge SxS, completed in 1950, is yet another testament to the expertise of Purdey’s gunmakers. The finely crafted self opening sidelock action, retains almost all of its original color case hardening, despite being made over 70 years ago. The beautifully figured walnut stocks are free of any cracks or major scratches from use and are equipped with a comfortable, leather covered recoil pad. Interestingly, this gun is marked with a #3 in the normal locations that would indicate a matched set, however Purdey has no record of any guns being made to match this one.
