The Griffin & Howe Gunsmithing department is excited to announce a range of custom 1911 handgun grips now for sale. These grips are made on-site at our gunsmithing facility, designed to be lightweight with a heavily skeletonized rear framework.
These grips are available in three different finishes: damascus, case colored, or in the white. The case-colored grips also have the option of being smooth or dimpled for a better grip.
These hand forged grips are heavily etched, resulting in an aesthetic black and white finish. Clear Cerakote coating is applied for maximum protection and durability. Each pair of grips are hand-crafted by Forged in Fire winner and Griffin & Howe sales associate Connor Myers-Norton.
These 1018 carbon steel polished 1911 grips are case colored by Doug Turnbull. Owner of Bowler Hat Classics, Doug is a member of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild and well-renowned for his color case hardening and metal finishing.
Our case colored grips are available in either a textured (dimpled) or non-textured fashion. Both options are finished in clear Cerakote for maximum corrosion resistance.
We are offering 1018 carbon steel polished 1911 grips in the white. These are aimed at the engraving trade, as well as custom 1911 builders. These grips are perfect for engravers or custom builders looking to maximize the engravable or customizable surface of the 1911.
By request, we can also provide these grips with custom engraving by Griffin & Howe engraver Chris Rossiter. Please contact us to get a quote for custom engraving and finish options.
