Defensive Handgun Level 2

Sunday October 25th, 8.30am – 1pm

Defensive Handgun Level 2 is where shooters move beyond simply knowing the fundamentals and begin proving they can apply them on demand.

Students will have increasing performance demands, learning to manage speed, accuracy, and efficiency while under pressure. Timed drills, competitive elements, and structured evaluations are used throughout the course to push students beyond their comfort zone and expose both strengths and limitations.

By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of what they can do when it counts, and what still needs work.

This course is for shooters who already have solid fundamentals and are ready to test their discipline, speed, and consistency under pressure, not for those looking for a casual or introductory handgun class.

Course Objectives

• Execute efficient, repeatable draws under time pressure
• Deliver accurate hits while increasing speed
• Perform reloads efficiently while fatigued
• Transition between multiple targets with visual discipline
• Shoot accurately while moving forward and laterally
• Maintain safety, muzzle discipline, and composure under stress
• Demonstrate measurable improvement against a defined performance standard

Requirements

• Successful completion of Defensive Handgun Level 1 or instructor approval
• Demonstrated safe and consistent holster draw, firearms safety, and range awareness
• Semi-automatic handgun (9mm or similar caliber recommended)
• Strong-side holsters or appendix carry holsters only. Holster must maintain shape without the pistol inserted
• Minimum of 3 magazines (5 recommended)
• Magazine pouches
• Minimum 400 rounds of factory ammunition
• Eye protection
• Electronic hearing protection
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Hat with brim

$360 per person (plus applicable NJ sales tax). Must be 21 or over to attend.

Dress code: no t-shirts, blue jeans or open-toed shoes please.

Cancellation Policy: Must contact us to cancel 10 days prior to class to receive full refund, or 72 hours prior to class to receive a 50% refund (minus credit card processing fees and applicable NJ sales tax). Any cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class date cannot be refunded.
