This Beautiful Holland & Holland 12 Gauge Paradox, built between 1891 and 1902, using a Jones Underlever action is in spectacular condition for its age. The action itself is still tight and smooth in operation with some fading of the case hardening to show its age. The stocks are of a beautifully figured walnut with a red pad and no major signs of damage or cracks, only a few light marks from handling. The barrels are quite clean across most of the bore but show light pitting in the chambers, likely from black powder shells and the outside of the barrels have been entirely re blacked. The barrels show the old signs of corrosion from before the re blacking with only the faintest of handling marks and a few minor spots of oxidation, from its years in storage. The most notable feature of this firearm is the addition of detachable scope mounts, often seen on more modern double rifles, in order to affix a Leupold 1.5-5x optic.
