J STEVENS 56 .22 S/L/LR

The J. Stevens Model 56 is a classic American bolt-action rimfire rifle that was produced during the first half of the 20th century. Known for its simple design, reliability, and affordability, the Model 56 was a popular choice for small game hunting, target shooting, and farm use. Chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, these rifles remain appreciated by collectors and shooters looking for a traditional American-made rimfire.

This pre-owned J. Stevens Model 56 is in good overall mechanical condition. The metal components show handling marks and finish wear consistent with use, while the receiver remains in good condition with light scattered pitting. The action functions properly. The wood stock shows handling marks throughout and has a large crack on the right side near the buttplate, which is the most significant condition issue on the rifle. Overall, this is a functional Stevens rimfire with plenty of vintage character that would appeal to collectors, shooters, or anyone looking for an older American-made .22 rifle.
