REMINGTON 722 .222 REM

The Remington Model 722 was introduced in 1948 as part of Remington’s postwar line of bolt-action sporting rifles. Built as a more affordable alternative to the Model 721, the 722 featured a short action designed for cartridges such as the .222 Remington. Known for its accuracy, strong action, and smooth operation, the Model 722 helped establish Remington’s reputation for producing dependable hunting and varmint rifles. Its action would later serve as the foundation for the legendary Remington 700, making the 722 an important piece of Remington firearms history.

This pre-owned Remington 722 chambered in .222 Remington remains in good overall condition. The metal components and receiver show only minimal finish wear, retaining a clean and well-kept appearance. The bolt operates smoothly, and the bore is bright and clean, indicating the rifle has been well maintained. The rifle has been restocked with a wooden pistol-grip style stock that provides a classic sporting appearance. It comes equipped with a mounted scope and sling, making it ready for use as a varmint rifle, range rifle, or as a welcome addition to a vintage Remington collection.
