This Springfield M1 Garand is chambered in .30-06 and features a 1943 receiver, giving it a clear WWII-era origin. The rifle has a good bore and good overall metal condition, while the stock is in fair condition with visible signs of wear and use consistent with its age and service history. There is a small chip missing from the upper portion of the stock near the operating rod on the right side. The wood surrounding the magazine baseplate on the left side also shows significant wear.
The rifle was rebarreled in 1951, placing the replacement barrel in the early Korean War period. The gas cylinder lock is unfinished. A sling is included.
