The Mannlicher-Schönauer sporting rifles started production in 1903 and continued until 1971, known for their quality and incredibly slick actions, they were a sought after rifle for many years. This is a model of 1924, one of 1000 ordered by the Sequoia Importing Company of San Francisco California. Overall condition is very good, but the rifle has been modified to accept a Redfield scope, by replacing the bolt handle, carving the stock/action to match the new bolt handle, and installing optics mounts.
