The Paradox Gun was designed by Lieutenant Colonel George Vincent Fosbery, His design was soon picked up by Holland & Holland in 1885. Henry Holland named the design the Paradox Gun, due to the fact that the first 2” of the barrels were rifled, despite the fact that a shotgun is designed as having an unrifled barrel. The first Paradox went on sale in 1886, produced until late 1920’s, reintroduced by H&H in 2010. This example has a light crack behind left lock.
