This unique left handed flintlock long rifle was made in 2016 by Mr. J.M. Yates following the style of rifles built in Lancaster County PA from 1770-90. The wood on this rifle has a fantastic, almost quilted figure to it and appears to have been finished entirely in the traditional manner. All of the metal components are in good condition and appear to have been intentionally antiqued, as the wear on the outside of the barrel doesn’t match the perfectly clean and sharp rifling. This rifle outwardly appears to be hundreds of years old, but internally is still new.
