The Winchester model 70 is one of the finest bolt action rifles ever made, known for its reliability and accuracy. This example of the Model 70 Featherweight, manufactured in 1956 is in good condition for its age. The metal shows moderate wear on the receiver, muzzle, bottom metal, and buttplate. The wood shows moderate handling marks overall appropriate for its age and use, there also appears to be a repaired crack on the right side of the stock in front of the bolt handle inlet. Most importantly, the bore on this rifle is clean and shiny, with strong rifling, making this potentially a very good shooter.
