Manufactured from 1939 to 1955, the Winchester 74 was designed to be an inexpensive and reliable rifle for varmint or plinking. This example, made in 1948 is in very good condition for its age, with almost no wear to the metal parts and very few dings to its stock. Speaking of the stock, despite the inexpensive nature of its manufacture, some light but attractive figure can be found in the grain of this stock.
