COLT GOVERNMENT 1911 .45 ACP

The M1911 pistol was the first semi automatic pistol adopted by the U.S. Army and subsequent branches, with the M1911A1 being the improved version developed shortly before the second world war. This example, manufactured in 1956 as a simple Colt Government Model has been thoroughly upgraded into a Bullseye competition pistol. The modifications include but are not limited to, the addition of a Bomar style rib sight, add on trigger shoe, Pachmayr grips, and upgraded barrel. the slide to frame fit also appears to be tightened and the contact surfaces polished. Overall condition is very good, with light to moderate wear.
