ENFIELD NO.5 MK I .303 BRITISH

The Enfield No. 5 Mk I, commonly known as the “Jungle Carbine,” was developed during World War II as a lighter, handier version of the No. 4 rifle for use in the dense jungle environments of the Pacific. Featuring a shortened barrel, lightened receiver, and distinctive flash hider, the No. 5 earned a reputation as a fast-handling military carbine and is one of the more unique variants of the Lee-Enfield family.

This pre-owned Enfield No. 5 Mk I chambered in .303 British is in good overall condition. The receiver and metal components show handling marks consistent with age and use but remain in good condition overall. The barrel is in good condition, and the bore retains good rifling. The stock has been refinished and presents well, complementing the rifle’s overall appearance. Included with the rifle is a sling. Overall, this is a good example of the iconic Jungle Carbine that would make a fine addition to a military firearms collection or a practical shooter for the range.
