BROWNING 1886 MONTANA .45-70 GOVERNMENT

The Browning Model 1886 is a modern reproduction of John Browning’s legendary Winchester design. Originally introduced as the successor to the Model 1876, the stronger 1886 action was built to handle larger and more powerful cartridges such as the .45-70 Government, which was the standard U.S. Army cartridge of the era. The success of the design later led to the scaled-down Model 1892. In 1989, Browning produced the Montana Centennial limited edition, with only 2,000 rifles manufactured.

This pre-owned Browning Model 1886 remains in very good overall condition. The rifle shows no visible handling marks or wear and retains an excellent appearance throughout. It appears to have seen little use since leaving the factory. The rifle includes its original box, making it an attractive example of this limited-production commemorative model.
