Early Griffin & Howe sporter chambered in .250-3000 Savage built on the rare and desirable Kurz Mauser action. Stocked by Fred Adolph and engraved by Rudolph Kornbrath. “No. 4 GRIFFIN & HOWE, INC. NEW YORK.” engraved on barrel. Two panel checkered bolt knob, through-the-forend barrel band sling swivel engraved with acanthus scroll, ramped caterpillar front sight with engraved border, Lyman 48 rear peep sight, lever-release hinged floorplate with acanthus scroll, and engraved trigger guard with mature buck and scroll border. The stock features a schnabel forend and Buffalo horn grip cap. Adolph’s Deluxe Grade checkering with carved leaf motif border accents and distinctive comb are well preserved. Length of pull measures 13″ to Griffin & Howe pad.
