Officially named the 3-Line Rifle M1891, the Mosin rifle is one of the highest produced military rifles in existence, with over 37 million made. Through their long lifespan they have been in use by first the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, followed by all of their satellite nations as well as seeing use by many nations across the world as surplus and wartime aid. This example is one of the most plentiful produced, the M91-30, the standard rifle of the red army until the adoption of the SVT44, but was often found being modified into a marksman’s rifle. Overall condition of this rifle is very good, when considering its age and usage, no major faults can be found in the stock or lockwork, with only moderate wear and handling marks. The receiver and barrel are in surprisingly good condition, with very strong rifling and a clean bore. It must be noted that the bolt number does not match the receiver, so it is suggested that headspace is checked before use.
