The Remington Model 11 was the first American made semi automatic shotgun, though it was in fact a licensed copy of the Browning designed Auto 5 made by FN. The only significant differences between the A5 and Model 11 was the absence of the magazine cutoff. The Remington model known as “The Sportsman” was a modified version of the original model 11 design, with a shorter internal magazine tube, limiting it to 3 rounds to comply with waterfowl laws. This 20 Gauge example is in good overall condition, with light to moderate wear and a crack in the forend.
