The Smith & Wesson Model 28 “Highway Patrolman” was in effect a slightly simplified version of the Model 27, developed specifically for police use and features an overbuilt N frame and bead blasted top strap / Frame rounds to reduce glare. This example of the Model 28-2 is in very good overall condition, though it appears to have been entirely refinished as made evident by the fact that the bluing on the barrel and cylinder no longer match the frame. This pistol also comes with an aftermarket Hogue grip module to suit different shooting preferences.
