SMITH AND WESSON 28-2 HIGHWAY PATROLMAN 357 MAGNUM

The Smith & Wesson Model 28 “Highway Patrolman” was in effect a slightly simplified version of the Model 27, developed specifically for police use and features an overbuilt N frame and bead blasted top strap / Frame rounds to reduce glare. This example is in excellent overall condition, with very little external wear. It must be noted that this pistol appears to have been used as a target pistol, as such the trigger has been lightened and sear modified to the point that it is no longer drop safe on single action.
