This Belgian Single Shot .22 apears to be one of the many types of “Flobert” gallery rifles. Overall condition is fair to good, with wear consistent to its age, but completely worn sears, making the hammer not cock at all and operation dangerous. The front stock screw is also missing. This rifle appears to be entirely hand made, with even the rifling being hand cut, and the bore being slightly undersized, making the use of a standard .22 cleaning rod impossible. The chamber, although nominally intended for the early .22 BB or .22 CB Cap cartridges, will fully chamber a .22 LR, meaning it was either cut oversized or is very worn.
