J. STEVENS BICYCLE .22 LONG RIFLE

The Stevens tip up has been I production in one form or another from 1864 till 1939. Available in rifle, pistol and shotgun configurations, as well as a multitude of chamberings, it was quite popular. This example is what was referred to a Bicycle Rifle, more accurately it is a pistol which originally came with a detachable stock, something handy which could be stored on a bicycle for small game hunting or target shooting. Overall condition is very good, with light to mild wear. The bore is somewhat worn, with rounded corners to the rifling and mild pitting throughout.
