MAS 49/56 7.5MM FRENCH

The MAS 49/56 was a French semi automatic battle rifle used from 1957 until the mid 1960’s. This example, based on the overall condition and the fact that it was imported by IO INC, was likely part of the large allotment of firearms brought over from Ethiopia. When this rifle was presented to us, it was incredibly dirty, with many years of caked on dust and sand, it has since been cleaned enough to be presentable , but is in no way fully cleaned and will need a full strip clean and inspection. Overall condition appears fair, with no apparent missing parts and wear consistent with use in Africa. Luckily the bore appears serviceable, with no deep pitting, but a consistent level of wear and corrosion. it is unknown if the bolt is original to the rifle, so headspace must be checked along with the overall inspection before use.
