The M1903 Springfield was America’s standard service rifle from 1903 until 1936 when it was officially replaced by the M1 Garand. Although it saw official replacement in 1936 the 1903 saw continued service as a secondary standard and in reserve units. This 1903 A3 produced by Remington in 1942 appears to be fully rebuilt, as it is equipped with a 1944 production barrel in near unused condition, a SA marked Bolt, and replacement furniture. Overall condition is excellent and is likely close to how these rifles would be immediately after leaving the Remington factory.
