Officially named the 3-Line Rifle M1891, the Mosin rifle is one of the highest produced military rifles in existence, with over 37 million made. Through their long lifespan they have been in use by first the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, followed by all of their satellite nations as well as seeing use by many nations across the world as surplus and wartime aid. This is the perfect example of the typical Imperial Russian 3-Line rifle. Made at the Tula factory in 1897, this rifle served through the Great war and likely through the revolution as well. After the revolution, this rifle somehow escaped the 91/30 upgrade, though it was matched with a new bolt and stock. This rifle also found itself having its muzzle counterbored to remove damaged or worn rifling and the remainder of the bore has strong rifling with moderate corrosion from corrosive ammunition. Overall condition of this firearm is very good for its age, making it a fantastic representation of Imperial Russian small arms.
