Charles Lancaster began as a barrel maker for Joseph Manton in the early 1800’s, before starting his own business in 1811. Later his sons would continue to expand the business and diversify into the development of new technologies in the firearms world. The tradition of technological advancement and the craft of fine gunmaking continues on under the Lancaster name long after Charles the 1st and his sons passed, as made clearly evident by this finely crafted hunting rifle. Supplied with the choice of two calibers and given a set of beautiful but sturdy stocks, this rifle is perfectly applicable for many of the big game animals in the world. A note on the condition of this fine sporting arm, aside from the usual wear to be found on all used firearms, the only apparent blemishes to be found are a few superficial scratches to the finish on the .300 Win Mag barrel set.
