The Remington Model 12 was designed by John Pedersen and produced from 1909 to 1936. This example is the somewhat more rare “Gallery Special” or model 12-B, and is in good condition considering its age and use. The stock has a few deep dings on the left side and two hairline cracks in the head, while the bore is somewhat pitted and dark, though the rifling is still present. Externally, the finish has developed a consistent brown patina and internally function is very smooth. This inspector has judged that this rifle is pa prime candidate for conservation and possibly re lining.
