Officially named the 3-Line Rifle M1891, the Mosin rifle is one of the highest produced military rifles in existence, with over 37 million made. Through their long lifespan they have been in use by first the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, followed by all of their satellite nations as well as seeing use by many nations across the world as surplus and wartime aid. This example had started its life as an Imperial Russian M91, Made at the Tula factory in 1898. At some point in Russian service, before the conversion to M91/30, this rifle was captured or purhased By the Finnish, who counterbored the muzzle to maintain accuracy standards and remove worn out rifling, then replaced the stock with a new stock of Finnish make. Overall condition of this rifle is fair to good, with no major faults to the stock but mild corrosion found scattered across the metal parts. the bore shows present and strong rifling with mild evidence of corrosion and rounded corners to the lands and grooves.
